Read pages 498-502 in small group – questions following Independent Writing exercise: p. 503 – Write a paragraph that describes the kinds on motion you see on the playground. Describe the speeds and distances of the people and things you observe.

4. Machines and Work: Weight and Forces Vocabulary: Force: push or pull Gravity: force that pulls 2 objects together (how we are able to stand on earth) Weight: measure of the force of gravity (how heavy an object is)
