4. PROJECT AIM Aim The project is designed to develop a robust commissioning framework for children’s services in Falkirk. The partnership approach to this work will ensure that staff within the third sector and public sector will have the knowledge skills and capacity to participate as full members in the commissioning process. Objective 1: By April 2011 we will have developed a cohort of advocates and raised awareness of the concept of commissioning across the public sector and third sector. Cohort of trained commissioning advocates established Events/Joint Workshops held on the concept of commissioning Communication/Engagement Strategy approved and implemented Objective 2: By April 2011 we will have produced a commissioning framework in relation to children’s services for the public sector and third sector in Falkirk. This framework will provide guidance on the process of commissioning and will include toolkits, principles and best practice.
