BGS Mission The Mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

BGS Objectives 1.Encourage and honor academic achievement by students of business and management through chapters in business programs accredited by AACSB International 2.Develop Beta Gamma Sigma members as student and professional leaders, and celebrate continuing leadership and excellence 3.Foster in Beta Gamma Sigma members an enduring commitment to the founding principles and values of the Society: honor and integrity, pursuit of wisdom, earnestness, and service 4.Connect Beta Gamma Sigma student and alumni members to each other and to opportunities in their professional lives

Three Part Strategy A. Bolster BGS’s support of chapters and members B. Grow the value BGS provides to members C. Strengthen organizational and financial durability

Emphasis on Engagement- Early Induction Beginning in 14-15, students are now eligible for membership in the last term of their Sophomore Year. (must still be in top 10%) Opportunity to have students engaged on campus for a longer time period. Sophomores had the highest invitation acceptance rate of all induction types in 14-15.

Emphasis on Engagement- Student Officers Can be customized for your campus Supplies students with the ability to gain leadership experience Provides support for the Chapter Advisor and/or Chapter Administrator

Deadline for registration: October 9 th.

Collegiate Chapter Honor Roll Rolled out to all chapters in 14-15 Point-based system, recognizing chapters based on acceptance rates and engagement activities Chapter must have completed annual Chapter Year in Review survey to qualify Added additional tier of recognition- three total
