What does a pronoun do? It takes the place of a noun in a sentence.

How do I find the direct object of a sentence? whatwhomThe direct object answers the question what or whom in regard to the verb in a sentence. For example: John has a book. What does John have? The book. Thus, the book is the direct object. In English we would replace the book with the direct object pronoun “it.”

Another Example: John sees Mary. WhomWhom does John see? Mary---- Mary is the direct object of the sentence. We would replace Mary with her.

Where is the direct object pronoun placed in a sentence? The DOP must be placed before the conjugated verb or at the end of the infinitive. Ejemplo: Juan lee la revista. Juan la lee.
