3. Key Terms HD Television Sets- 480P, 720P & 1080I Digital Video- Pertaining to data in the form of digits. Analog- A signal that fluctuates exactly like the original stimulus. Codec- Can be one of several compression systems of digital video, graphics and audio files.

Sampling- Taking a number of samples (voltage) of the analog video or audio signal at equally spaced intervals. Scanning- The movement of the electron beam from left to right and from top to bottom on the television screen.

QUICKTIME- Codec that is primarily utilized in Apple Devices. FLASH- Popular codec utilized for Web Videos. H264 (HD)- Most popular codec for High Definition Video.
