Monday, September 28 Do Now: SSR-10 min Homework: ✓ Vocabulary Word Study (Quiz on October 2nd) Objective: I will use my knowledge of elements of plot and fiction to fill in my mind map/table for Freak the Mighty. I will learn about interjections and use this knowledge to complete a life sandwich piece. I will use my knowledge of the writing process to finish revising and editing my personal narrative. How to Peer Edit/Revise on Google Open a new tab Go to google drive Click on folder labeled “classroom” Click on folder labeled “7 th ELAR” Click on personal narrative Right Click on your document Click “share” Type in all the names of the members in your group. ONLY ALLOW THEM TO COMMENT! Now go to “Shared with me” You should be able to see everyone in your groups papers. You will make comments at the end of paragraphs or line. BE SPECIFIC (“gald should be glad”)

Plot- Label all 3 parts of exposition Begin to describe rising action Vivid Verbs- 1 per chapter Characterization – 9 Characters by end of Ch. 14 1 ex. Per character AT LEAST Summary – 2 so far (Ch 1-7 and Ch. 8-11) Figurative Language- 1 per chapter Conflict – at least 3 examples so far Connection – at least 2 so far By the end of CH. 14- You should have 3-4 times as many examples in your book as you have labeled on your mind map/table.
