This is a Benchmark in the Ohio Academic Standards for Technology for which grade band? K-2 3-5 6-8 9-12 Students understand terminology, communicate technically and select the appropriate technology tool based on their needs. They use technology tools to collaborate, plan and produce a sample product to enhance their learning and solve problems by investigating, troubleshooting and experimenting using technical resources.

As a P21 Leadership State, Ohio has committed to, within the next three years: ensuring every educator participates in at least one significant professional development program focused on integrating 21st century skills into content; updating state standards to reflect a combination of skills and content; and, developing and introducing one significant assessment of 21st century skills. “Our children deserve educational opportunities that prepare them for the future.
