She was born with spinal bifida and is paralysed from the waist down. Tanni's first big achievement came when she represented Wales in the Junior National Games aged 15. Her massive trophy haul now includes 11 Paralympic gold medals after victories in the T53 100m and T53 400m in Athens. L: learning… Teachers at Birchgrove Primary School remember her as a little girl determined to find out for herself what she can and can't do. This shows us that Grey-Thompson house respects her determination and urges its students to be determined. I: Integrity... Tanni shows integrity through her strong morals and will power to become the best Paralympic athlete she can be. F: friendship… through Tanni’s charity work she has show her friendship to all, she treats everyone equally. This is a characteristic that we see within our house, she will show people in blue house to respect and treat everyone the same.
