Social Climate  Inclusive programs support a healthy, non- violent physical and social environment for children and youth to promote pro-social skills.  Preventive programs promote awareness and positive attitudes.  Culture and communication reflect a shared vision and demonstrate a respectful and caring community.  Responsive to the diverse needs of individuals.

Instructional Supports  Programs enhance knowledge, skill development, respectful behaviours and attitudes in violence prevention.  Instruction offers a continuum of services, responding to the needs of individuals.  Examples of instructional programs can range from one hour sessions, 6 week workshops or individual instruction.  Help adults (all who touch children’s lives) understand their role in violence prevention.

5. Comprehensive Social Supports  Services that assist children and youth in making healthy, non-violent choices.  Offer specific interventions to prevent the further occurrence of bullying behaviour or victimization.  Continuum of social supports to address individual needs.
