What is Supported Employment? Definition: Supported employment provides support to people with mental diseases or other disabilities to secure and maintain paid employment in the open labour market. What is Supported Employment? A free service for jobseekers with a disability and their employers. An effective way for persons with disabilities to get and keep a job. Find the right job match to suit jobseeker´s unique ability, skills and interests. Job training to help the employee settle into the new position.

Vocational Profiling "getting to know you" process The Job Consultant meet jobseeker to help identify his/her interests, skills, abilities, needs, past experiences and job interests. Look at how to overcome any potential obstacles.

Keeping the job The support is focused on individual needs. The Amount of support should decrease over time as the employee adapts to the job and the workplace. “No more support than needed and no less than necessary”
