2.  I think, nowadays it is very important to know foreign languages. Some people learn languages, because they need them for their work, others travel abroad, for the third it`s just a hobby. People want to know languages, to write to their pen- friends or to communicate with people from different countries, to meet more people and make new friends. Also, they want to read books of famous writers in original, to read newspapers and magazines. It helps them to know more about different events, people`s life, customs and traditions.

4.  As for me I learn English, because English is a very popular language all over the world. It is used in many parts of the world and there is a lot of business correspondence and literature in English  Personally, I think that to know foreign languages today is absolutely necessary for every educated man, for every good specialist. So let`s to learn foreign languages and discover with them many interesting things in our life!

5.  Learning of foreign language helps me for reading different original books by American authors,for example J.R.R.Tolkien “Hobbit”

6.  Scientists proved that long occupations by a foreign language help to improve level of cognitive abilities. What does it give? It is a lot of positive moments. First, the person starts reacting better to stressful situations in his life. That is learning of foreign languages promotes development of such useful quality, as resistance to stress. And it, you see, is important. After all sometimes it seems that in the modern world all life consists of stresses. Secondly, occupations by English or any other language very well train memory and imagination. For this reason the people knowing of one or more foreign languages, have problems with memory in old age much less often. Besides, studying of English, helps to distribute correctly the attention and to concentrate only on the main thing. Plus to it, knowledge of language is an indicator of that the person is able to work with information.

7.  The big contribution to development of our country is made by people who know a foreign language as the native. In other words – translators. Several centuries ago, to the invention of many devices habitual now for us, important works of foreign figures were translated into Russian by people to whom our future wasn't indifferent. Now thanks to these people in our country many fields of activity progressively develop.

8.  Today millions of people all over the world learn foreign languages. They play a great part in our life. People, who know foreign languages, are necessary for the development of the techniques, economy and arts in the modern society. For example, a good engineer or a qualified worker should be able to read some technical papers for the imported equipment.

9.  Learning foreign languages is especially important in our country. People want to learn foreign languages to write to their pen-friends, or to communicate with them personally. People also want to read the works of famous writers in the original, newspapers and magazines. During the classes of foreign languages one can train his memory and thinking. A foreign language helps to know the native language better. A person who learns a foreign language, at the same time gets acquainted with the culture of the country, its literature, history and geography.
