I wonder why students seem more interested when I tell them the answers rather than let them think on their own? I wonder why students seem more engaged when they are sitting on the floor than at their desks?

11 Introduction to Video - Managing It is your responsibility to: –Buy a Mini-DV tape (or use Flip camera) –Make sure the camera is charged the day before –Get the camera –Arrange for a friend to record you –Check to see if there are any kids who cannot be recorded and make necessary arrangements

12 Introduction to Video - Recording General Shooting tips –Add light if possible –Use the external microphone –Don’t zoom or pan too much –Focus on teacher –Don’t film entire hour – 15-20 minutes only –Pause frequently (especially with FLIP) –Aim for a range of teaching activities –Be sure to record work samples
