Run out of England to the Netherlands. Bradford came into his inheritance and petitioned for a grant of land in North America. Self-educated man Meant to land in Virginia; weather pushed them to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Bradford was immediately elected governor and held that office until the last 5 years of his life. The original manuscript was lost. The first book was found in the church records. The 2 nd was eventually found in London in 1856; its return to America was petitioned in 1897.

Captain Wollaston came to start a plantation. Lt. Fitcher was left in charge, but run off by Mr. Morton. Why did the Pilgrims have such a big issue with Merrymount? “…this mischief would quickly spread over all, if not prevented…” The richer everyone became, the less worried they were about the community.
