1. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2012  Write in your agenda:  Preposition Practice  “Gold Cadillac”  Homework: Study for CBA on Monday!!! Honors: “The Gold Cadillac”

2. PREPOSITION PRACTICE  You will complete the preposition practice without using your handout to practice for the CBA on Monday. This will count as a daily grade. You will have 15 minutes to complete this.

3. THINGS TO STUDY FOR CBA:  Preposition Practices You must know how to locate a prepositional phrase and its object. Prepositions answer questions-when, where, how, and they give directions, location and show relationships to time.  You will be expected to read carefully, jot down your thinking, use process of elimination and prove your answer using text evidence when reading a fiction passage.  You will need to know how to locate words in a dictionary, find its part of speech, its origin and definition. You can review Tuesday’s Power Point for dictionary vocabulary.

4. THE GOLD CADILLAC  Read the passage “The Gold Cadillac”.  Answer the multiple choice questions.  Complete the plot diagram for the story.  After reading “The Gold Cadillac” write your resolution for the story on the back of your plot diagram.  Turn in for a grade. Read for AR when you are done! ½ AR points are due next Friday!!!!!
