Judas Iscariot, who was one of the apostles, went to the chief priests and temple guards to discuss a plan for handing Jesus over to them. They were pleased and agreed to pay him money. He accepted their offer and looked for a good time to hand him over to them when there would be no crowd.
3
When the day of the Passover Feast came, Jesus sent out Peter and John, instructing them, "Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover."
4
They asked him, "Where do you want us to make the preparations?“ And he answered them, "When you go into the city, a man will meet you carrying a jar of water. Follow him into the house that he enters and say to the master of the house, 'The teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"' He will show you a large upper room that is furnished. Make the preparations there."
5
They went off and found everything exactly as he had told them, and there they prepared the Passover.
6
When the time came, Jesus took his place at table with the apostles.
7
Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me."
8
Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and said, “This is my blood which will be shed for you. Take this and share it among yourselves.”
9
Jesus turned to his friends and said, “One of you with me is to betray me.” He looked at Judas and said, “Go and do what must be done.”
10
And Judas left the room.

Judas went to the chief priests and told them that Jesus would be in the Garden of Gethsemane that night. They gave him a bag containing thirty pieces of silver.
