2. all All French, all nouns have a gender. YEP! You got it! Even things have a gender! It will be very important for you to know the gender (masculine or feminine) of all nouns that you learn. The only way you will remember is my knowing the little tiny word, called an “article” that is placed before the noun when you learn it in your vocabulary. In your homework you translated many nouns. You may have noticed these small words that came before them. Those words are “un” “une” “le” and “la”

3. UN and UNE The articles are found before NOUNS ONLY. These mean “a” If a noun is MASCULINE, you will see “un” before it. If a noun is FEMININE. You will see ”une” before it.
