What is hacking? A hacker is a person who breaks into computers, usually by gaining access to administrative controls. The subculture that has evolved around hackers is often referred to as the computer underground.

What damage can hackers do? They are cyber criminals. They can look at all your personal details and stuff They can find out where you live and track down like dangerous sniffer dogs

How can you stop hackers being able to get on your computer? One of the most important guards you can have in place is a fire wall. A fire wall will help keep hackers from getting into your system and sending out your personal information. Antivirus software will scan incoming files and e- mails but a fire wall stands guard outside the system to block any communications or information exchanges from sources that don't have your permission.

This is Gary McKinnon McKinnon hacked into 97 United States military and NASA computers over a 13-month period between February 2001 and March 2002, using the name 'Solo'. The computer networks he is accused of hacking include networks owned by NASA, the US Army, US Navy, Department of Defence, and the US Air Force
