4 1. Report on the status of improving NADM ‐ related drought monitoring within the member countries (CN, MX, US) 2. Address issues related to the production of the NADM map and narrative. 3. Strengthen international linkages by meeting with the Global Drought Assessment and U.S. ‐ Canadian GEO Bi ‐ lateral Technical workshops.

5 2010 North American Drought Monitor Forum and Global Drought Assessment Workshop 1. Create a clearinghouse for international drought information and services. 2. Develop recommendations to the WMO of SPI characteristics to be adopted by the world’s National Meteorological & Hydrological Services, and where this should be integrated and hosted. 3. Provide a venue for progress on the WMO goal of identifying common indices for agricultural and hydrological droughts.
