County Actions Code Enforcement – Postings of all stairways and 2nd and 3rd floor units Identified safety concerns Provided contact information for receiver Provided contact information for Family Services Dept. – Sheriff’s Office arrests (Jan. 30, 2015) – Hearings pending before Special Magistrate

County Actions Division of Building Safety – Met with receiver to review required repairs to stairs on Feb. 2, 2015 – Staff developed phasing plan, prepared to expedite permitting – Receiver reportedly having difficulty retaining an engineer – Uncertainty regarding timeline for remedial actions

County Actions Family Services – Contacted emergency housing providers – Program assistance limited to 7 days – Relocation assistance 23 contacts 2 placements 3 appointments scheduled for week of Feb. 9, 2015 – Department of Children and Families engaged 113 students living in Blossom Park per OCPS

County Actions Fire Rescue – Notice of Fire Code violations being posted this week at buildings and individual units Actions to be decided when final report available Possibility to limit emergency response – Evacuation may require additional steps, including coordination with OCSO

Summary Condemnation process followed and all legal requirements met Relocation assistance available Fire Marshal is initiating enforcement actions Evacuation is under consideration along with other steps Evacuation poses significant challenges and hardships
