What Multiplication looks like There are multiple ways to express multiplication: 3.4 x 5 3.4 5 3.4 * 5 3.4(5) (3.4)(5)

Steps 1) Count how many digits are AFTER the decimal in the problem. 2) Multiply like normal (ignoring the decimals) 3) Place decimal in the product (Answer) with the total number of digits behind the decimal

Steps 1. If there is a decimal in the divisor, move the decimal all the way to the right turning the decimal into a whole number. 2. If you move the decimal in the divisor, you MUST move the decimal in the dividend to the right the same number of digits ( may need to add 0’s) 3. Take the decimal in the dividend straight up into the quotient 4. Divide.
