2 iBook Do’s: Use your iBook when under direction by a teacher or staff member. Keep all passwords secret. Charge your iBook every night! Carry your iBook in the protective case supplied by HCMS at all times.

3 iBook Do’s: Visit only websites as directed by your teacher –OhMyWebHistory is installed on every student machine and tracks every place you visit on the Internet- at home, at school, or anywhere you have an Internet connection.This history tracks everywhere you visit on Internet Explorer or Safari and IS NOT DELETABLE.Your parents teachers, or administrators may use this program to be sure you are using the Internet appropriately.

4 iBook Don’ts: Use your iBook in the hallways, on the sidewalk or at lunch Take up storage space on the server with non-instructional materials –Removal of materials, Pathways or suspension Use your iBook on the bus or at the bus stop Put stickers on your iBook –Possible disciplinary consequences and payment

5 iBook Don’ts: Use e-mails, visit chat rooms or play non- instructional games, etc. during the school day –Pathways or Suspension Load programs/file that consume hard drive space –Confiscated, deleted files, Pathways or Suspension

6 iBook Don’ts: Attempt/complete a sales transaction during school day –Suspension, notify SRO for criminal charges Load obscene images/materials, including inappropriate “stickies” –Automatic suspension and/or confiscation Use Ethernet jack –Suspension, confiscation

7 iBook Don’ts: Reconfigure the software, hack into or send threats via computer –Suspension, report to SRO, may be subject to arrest Attempt to breech the HCPS network/filtering system –Suspension to hearing officer, resulting in long term suspension or expulsion

8 iBook Don’ts: Download music, games or videos –Pathways and/or suspension, confiscation Use copyrighted material or misrepresent the identity of others –Pathways, suspension or confiscation
