3. Personal Details Born in 1853 in Holland
Family consists of Mother, Father, 1 brother and 3 sisters
Died at age 37, in year 1890 at France.

4. Adult life
He worked as an art dealer, teacher, bookseller and preacher.
But he was not happy till he decided to become an artist
He went to different art schools to learn all about art and painting.
The house where Van Gogh stayed in Cuesmes in 1880; while living here he decided to become an artist

5. My favorite facts
He used paints directly out of the tube. His brush strokes were so thick.
He loved to paint so much that even in his tough days he would buy paint instead of food.
His early paintings were dark and sad and mainly about poor people. Later they became much brighter.
His feeling came out in his paintings and all his paintings looked very real.

8. My opinion I feel he deserved much more recognition when he was alive.
He shouldn’t have killed himself. I feel if he lived longer the world would have got many more paintings from him.
