1 Volleyball Offense General Notes
We run a 6-2 – 6 hitters and 2 setters. Back row setter sets so front row setter can hit (gives us 3 hitters) Make pass to the setter position If back row setter must take first hit, call “setter out”; front row setter takes sets In Base, front row gets off net to attack (Of-4; Mf-2; Sf-5) Back row hits downballs (Black-Left; Red-Right) Use all types of hits – spike, roll, tip, shoot, downball

2 Volleyball Rotations General Notes when Serving
We will always serve in this order: 1-Setter, 2-Outside, 3-Middle, 4-Setter, 5-Outside, 6-Middle If we begin game in Receive, we will line up in Middle Receive The front row middle will always line up in the middle – others in front row will move around her. The server is technically not on the court so overlap rules do not apply to server. Watch overlap with player directly in front or behind and with players within same row.

3 Volleyball Rotations General Notes when Receiving Serve
We always have 3 players receiving serve. We hide the back row setter so she can take the 2nd hit to set the attack. The back row setter takes sets with the exception of when we are in Middle Receive—the front row will set the attack and then after players go to base, the back row setter will take the rest of the sets. If back row setter must take the first hit, call “Setter Out”; front row setter takes sets. After our first attack gets past the opponent’s front row, we quickly go to Base. Watch overlap with player directly in front or behind and with players within same row.
