2 MODULE II Making Calls Using Skype – Identifying Contact Status – Calling or Video Calling a Contact – Adding Contacts to a Call in Progress – Creating a Conference Call

3 When logging into Skype your online status and the status of your contacts will be displayed using the status symbol next to a name. These symbols represent the following status: –Online –Away –Do Not Disturb –Invisible/Offline –Having calls Forwarded Users can change how contacts see their status by using the Online Status options Identifying Contact Status

4 Calling or Video Calling a Contact To place a call to a contact select a contact from your contact list. Select the call button If you have a webcam and would like to make a video call simply select the

5 Adding Contacts to a Call in Progress Contacts can be added to calls already in progress Simply click on the “Add People” button –This feature can change a “one on one” conversation into a group collaboration in minutes.

6 Creating a Conference Call To create a conference call select “Create New Group” under the Contacts drop down menu Next drag names from your contact list into the group box Once the group is created complete the conference call by selecting “Call Group” You can also SAVE the group to your contact list to use for future meetings

7 CONGRATULATIONS You have completed MODULE II and should now be able to: – Identify contacts online status – Call or Video Call a contact – Add contacts to a call in progress – Crate a conference call You are now ready to move one to MODULE III – Skype Collaboration Features
