4. Part One Analysis of students （学情分析） Our students are the first year students in vocational school. They are learning nursing at school now and most of them will be nurse in 2017. As we know learning English well is important to them. In fact, they have mastered some knowledge of English,but their basis is so poor. And they are almost from the countryside and belong to the"left-behind" children. they are lower of English level and don’t have strong in- terest in English learning. At the same time they are lack of confidence in learning,and they will retreat when they once face the difficulty.

Status and Function （地位和功能） This is an important lesson in this book.Such a topic is related to greeting, so it is helpful to raise learning interest of students and it will be also help to improve their oral English. It can help students to attain “four skills” request of listening, speaking, reading and writing.Therefore this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material.
