Day 1 TopicHighlights and Agreements ISO 9001:2008 Quality Service Management Launching Launched and signed NNC’s Quality Policy and Quality Manual and Mandatory Procedures by DAP Center for Quality Competitiveness Vice President Mr. Arnel Abanto and NNC Asec. Bernie Flores QMS provides quality standards for NNC’s delivery of services to its clients and basis for agency ‘s continuous improvement Provides for specific quality objectives and mandatory procedures for NNC’s core processes

Day 1 TopicHighlights and Agreements ISO 9001:2008 Quality Service Management Launching Next steps Last 2 sessions will be on QMS implementation and IQA training 4-day Training course on IQA composed of 3-day workshop and a mock audit by NNC QMS core team of central office and selected regional offices, for improvements and corrective action, and then a readiness assessment March 2014 as the target for ISO certification by a 3rd party audit; AD to facilitate procurement of the audit team for 3 tears with 2x a year auditing

Live long” as overall concept handle Mang Moi character and storyboard preferred over Tita Susie for its high entertainment factor 10 Kumain-ments and sampung sikreto ng kalusugan

Day 2 TopicHighlights and agreements Nutritional Guidelines for Filipinos FOCI Consultancy Group Comments raised/actions to be taken: Sikreto ng kalusugan may not be appropriate since kalusugan covers more than diet and healthy lifestyle Chicharon in the plug should be reconsidered considering applicability to Moslems More emphasis on exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding Instead of “kumain ng ibat-ibang putahe”, it should be “pagkain”

Echavez Director II CSC-FO, DOST CSC Reso. # 12-00481dtd 16 March 2012 directing all govt agencies to adopt SPMS; Basis for issuance of PBB Paradigm shift from performance indicators to success indicators, from individual to teamwork Performance measures shall include any 1 or combination of quality, effectiveness and timeliness Schedule: 12-13 Dec 2013: Creation of PMT & issuance of SO 16-27 Dec : Finalization of DPCR 02-15 Jan 2014: Formulation of IPCR 30 January: submit to CSC for pilot testing

Do not rely on generic scale; agencies should come up with own specific scale depending on number of staff doing specific tasks FMD to prepare separate report based on target deadline for each report ROs to submit only proposals with complete requirements, including liquidation

Day 2 TopicHighlights and agreements Nutrition in Emergency MLAvega ST Yolanda (Haiyan) considered as level 3, the highest level of emergency for humanitarian assistance; Nutrition response co-coordinated and strongly supported by a global nutrition cluster National and regional nutrition clusters composed of NGAs, UN and NGOs. National cluster also assisted by 4 working groups: CMAM, IYCF-E, AWG and Advocacy

NNC still awaiting for CMAM guidelines approval by DOH. UNICEF Information of an alleged proposed memo to DOH requesting authority to receive BMS and milk donations

Activities not to be limited to NNC activities only On measurement of height, 100% adoption is targeted for 2014. To help achieve the target, NNC will convert the P8.0 million worth of weighing scales and height boards to steel rules (approximately 6,150 pcs.)
