How do we identify a Hazard?

 A hazard is the potential for harm. In practical terms, a hazard often is associated with a condition or activity that, if left uncontrolled, can result in an injury or illness. Identifying hazards and eliminating or controlling them as early as possible will help prevent injuries and illnesses

 Potential hazards  Subcontractors  Deliveries  Chemicals- GHS  Cell phones- think and walk  Disruption of normal routine and way finding

 When a hazard exists  Stay away from the hazard  Contact Safety Coordinator or call 911 if immediate or life threatening danger  Notify Kitchell Personnel  Follow through

 Emergency Action Plan

 Scottsdale Bible Evacuation plan-  If there is a hazard that requires evacuation:  Follow evacuation plan from SBC Safety Coordinator  Meet in designated area  Do not leave or go back to work until accounted for and directed to do so by the safety coordinator.

 If you witness an accident or injury:  Do not enter hazard area unless the hazard has been removed or mitigated  If necessary, Call 911 first and keep them on the phone:  Stay with the person, keep them calm  Administer first aid and CPR if you are trained to do so.

 Who is ultimately responsible for our personal safety?

 We have an obligation to protect our health and the health of those around us.
