What happened The week started with the children making a pledge to be more active. The week started with the children making a pledge to be more active.

What were we looking for? As well as promoting a healthy lifestyle we were looking for the children to show that they could adopt the values of Respect, Equality, Inspiration, Determination, Friendship, Excellence and Courage. Awards were given at the end of the week to those people who had shown themselves to have adopted the values. Tuesday tasters! On the Tuesday each teacher took a 40min workshop. On the Tuesday each teacher took a 40min workshop. The idea of the workshop was to show children how to be fit and active using resources already at hand. Alongside these we had Fife Coaching Team giving children an opportunity to sample hockey, javelin, shot putt and discus. Classroom fun On the Wednesday and Thursday of the week time was spent in the classrooms working with the children on all aspects of being healthy and staying healthy. Sports day On Friday we had a health promoting sports day. On Friday we had a health promoting sports day. There were health professionals on hand to give parents advice and support about healthy choices for them and their children. Closing Ceremony On the following Monday we had a closing ceremony. On the following Monday we had a closing ceremony. Children came to school dressed in the uniforms of their chosen activity.
