2. System Training It is essential that you arrange for training on any campus multimedia podium system before you use it ! TO ARRANGE FOR TRAINING PLEASE CALL THE CTL AT X5347 Know WHAT you are using and HOW to use it !

3. System Power Up Step 1. Use the APC Net9RM to power up all equipment in podium except the PC. Step 2. Power up Extron MLC 206 Controller. This will also power on the projector.

4. TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES STEP 1. Insert video tape into VCR

5. TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES STEP 2. Press the VCR button

6. STEP 3. Cue up tape to starting point by using remote & pressing “play” button. (Must be behind podium pointing remote at VCR). The word “Panasonic” on remote should be the part you aim at VCR. TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES

7. STEP 4: Adjust Volume as needed using the Volume knob

8. TO PLAY DVD STEP 1. Press the DVD button on Extron MLC Controller

9. STEP 2. Open DVD Player and insert DVD TO PLAY DVD

10. STEP 3. Use the DVD Remote to navigate around the DVD Menu and play the DVD. (Must be behind podium pointing remote at VCR). The word “Panasonic” on remote should be pointing towards you. NOTE: Must be in “TV” mode to see DVD movie in WIN TV window & send video to projector

11. TO PLAY DVD STEP 4: Adjust Volume as needed using the Volume knob

12. TO USE ELMO DOCUMENT CAMERA STEP 1. Press the “Document Camera” button on the Extron MLC 206 controller

13. TO USE ELMO DOCUMENT CAMERA STEP 2. Un-lock Document camera drawer and set up camera and lamps per system training. Power on camera by pressing “On” button. “Main” input button should be on (if not press button). Power on lamps by pressing “Upper” lamp button.

14. TO USE PC STEP 1. Press the PC button on Extron MLC controller

15. TO USE PC STEP 2. Power on the PC and use as usual

16. TO USE PC NOTE: This room is also equipped with a wireless keyboard and mouse which can be used from anywhere in the room

17. TO USE SMART BOARD NOTE: This room is equipped with a SMART Board which can be used in conjunction with the PC. If you are unfamiliar with how to use the SMART Board, please contact the CTL at x5347 to arrange training

18. TO USE Optional USB Devices To hook-up optional USB devices, use the USB extension cable, located in the cable well. USB Extension Cable USB Flash Drives USB External Hard Drives USB items may include such devices as:

19. TO USE Optional Laptop Hookup STEP 1. Press the laptop button on Extron MLC controller

20. TO USE Optional Laptop Hookup STEP 2. Hook laptop up to cable coming out of cable well on podium VGA Video Cable Audio Cable

21. TO USE Optional Laptop Hookup STEP 3. Use function keys (specific to your laptop) to activate laptop display

22. SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE CHECKLIST  Remove All Tapes, DVD, Diskettes  Shutdown PC Correctly  Power off Power Switch  Press and hold “Display Power” for three seconds to power off Extron Controller and LCD Projector  Lock Up Podium
