2 Image Enhancement 1.Prepare a long range marketing plan 2.Communicate the Western Advantage to existing and new audiences 3.Market Western as an institution that sets the standard for excellence in student development and community leadership.

3 Brand Development To accomplish these goals our team applied for and received a SPIF grant to create an enhanced brand for Western.To accomplish these goals our team applied for and received a SPIF grant to create an enhanced brand for Western. –Hired Callahan Creek to work with us. –The process will be complete at the end of November.

4 Goal 1: Prepare a long range marketing plan Establish an institutional committeeEstablish an institutional committee –17 members who have worked to create a draft marketing plan and guide the process for brand development Establish an annual budgetEstablish an annual budget –Callahan Creek will be providing guidance on this, and we will have a proposed budget in the next year.

5 Goal 2: Communicate the Western Advantage Identify target audiencesIdentify target audiences –Conducted research with several of the groups and will continue doing so this year.
