2.  You will use the red grammar book, Warriner’s.  You will take notes on the parts of a sentence.  On the next slides, follow the directions on each slide.

3.  On page 4, copy down the definition of a sentence, it is in red.  Define a sentence fragment.  On page 5, complete exercise 1, #1- 5.

4.  On page 7, copy down definition of subject (in red).  Copy down MEETING THE CHALLENGE (on the right side of the page of page 7).  Copy down what is in red from page 8.  Complete Exercise 3, #1-5, page 9.

5.  Copy down definition of predicate (in red).  Copy down definition of simple predicate on page 10.  Complete exercise 4, #1-5 on page 11

6.  Watch this clip to review subject and predicate.this clip  What is the subject of the video.  Name the predicates in the video or what the subject did.

7.  Define compound subject form page 15.  Complete exercise 6 #1-5, page 15

8.  Copy down the definition of a compound verb (in red).  Complete exercise 7 #1-5, page 16.  Complete exercise F, page 18, 1-5.
