Reading Assignment Read Chapter 1 in the text: pp. 32-57 Find the vocabulary words in the text Define the word Cite the page where the word is found Create an icon as a mnemonic device Use the word correctly in an original sentence Answer questions 17-21 on page 58. These are reflective questions that require a minimum of 1 paragraph to answer well. Type/double space Due: at the beginning of class, Friday, Feb. 2

Big Ol’ Renaissance Project Overarching Question on the Renaissance Check – In with me, Friday 2/8 Sign – up for Presentations, Monday 2/11 Project Presentations will start Wednesday, 2/13 In small groups you will: Be assigned an overarching question about the Renaissance to answer visually in a Presentation. Use the text book as a jumping off place to find some of the answers to your question. Use the Online source ABC Clio for additional information. Find a minimum of 3 additional resources to use in answering your overarching question. Develop an Annotated Bibliography for all of your sources. Due on the day of your presentation. Create a Visual Something (Power Point, Poster, Time Line, etc.) that uses text and visuals to answer the question. Answer a group/self evaluation that will be factored into the grade.
