4. Blogging in Reading Class 1. Start a favorite books blog, a place where kids can check out what their buddies are reading. 2. After reading a story in class, have students compare and contrast themselves to the main character in the story. 3. List 5 facts or five opinions found in the story.

What steps would you use to solve the problem.  How many legs are on 5 chairs. Explain how you got your answer.  When you are multiplying, do you prefer to use the traditional method or the lattice method. Tell why.

7. Blogs in Science – Thought provoking questions before a unit of study  Ask students to create a hypothesis before completing a class experiment?  Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Why do you think that?  What will happen if I place a paper plate over a full glass of water and turn it upside down?  List 5 important facts from the chapter.  Write 3 questions that you think should be on the science test.

8. Blogs in Social Studies  If you could write a “Bill of Rights” for your family, what rights would you include?  If you could write a “Bill of Rights” for the classroom, what rights would you include?  Describe your favorite city to your classmates and tell 3 fun things to do there, 3 educational places to visit, and a good place to eat.
