How Does it Fit In to the College Process? How Does it Fit In to the College Process? Naviance helps students plan for and achieve post- secondary goals In Naviance students can: Create a career interest profile Build a resume Research and compare colleges to form a college list View virtual tours of colleges View scattergrams to determine whether or not a college is a good fit based on IHS data of GPA’s and test scores from the past 5 years Track college applications and status of transcript requests

What Students Should be Doing Complete Required Paperwork consisting of: Complete Required Paperwork consisting of: * Resume * Activities Profile Sheet * Asking 2 teachers to write letters of recommendation and presenting them with required form and copy of Activity Profile * Asking 2 different teachers to complete Teacher Feedback Form and present it to them * Give copies of Resume and Activities Profile Sheet to their counselor for their file in the Guidance Office * Give copies of Resume and Activities Profile Sheet to their counselor for their file in the Guidance Office * Presenting Parent Brag sheet to YOU to complete

Students Need To: Keep up with important dates for testing and register appropriately for SAT/ACT (recommended that students sit for at least one test this spring) Visit schools and attend open house programs Update list of potential schools in Naviance Begin working on their Common Application after August 1 st Complete their college essay in the Common Application and have it proofread Seek their counselor often for advice and questions Keep track of deadlines!
