The Odyssey Personal Narrative Writing Prompt
Prompt: At the beginning of The Odyssey, we discussed the idea that we are all on our own Odyssey or journey, much like Odysseus. Using at least three moments in The Odyssey, explain how this epic and our main character is relatable to us, and the journeys that we go through in our lives. Sample Thesis Statement: Just as Odysseus was on a long journey home to Ithaca, all human being experience similar journeys in life in which they face many challenges. Some people learn from these challenges while other fail to learn from them.
