2 Learning Targets:  Participants will determine what to consider when identifying post-secondary options in your ACP process  Understand what options can be included in the ACP process  Learn about one school district’s messaging around the options and how to prepare

3 Why? Our responsibility is to prepare our students to be able to access options appropriate to their learning plan (good consumers of post-secondary education). We know that students are individuals who need different options to follow their chosen path to reach their post-secondary experiences.

6 19% finish in 4 years At most public universities, only 19 percent of full-time students earn a bachelor’s degree in four years, the report found. Even at state flagship universities — selective, research-intensive institutions — only 36 percent of full-time students complete their bachelor’s degree on time. 30 Types of Apprenticeships: ● Construction Trades Construction Trades ● Industrial/Manufacturing Trades Industrial/Manufacturing Trades ● Service Trades Service Apprenticeship is a structured system of training designed to prepare individuals for skilled occupations. It combines on-the-job learning under the supervision of experienced journey workers with related classroom instruction. It is sponsored by employers, employer associations, or labor/management groups that can hire and train in a working situation. Apprentices who successfully complete the prescribed number of training hours in an apprenticeship program become certified skilled workers.  http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/apprenticeship/

46 The NEW Universal Transfer Agreement between the WI Technical College System and the University of WI System offers students the opportunity to transfer the following general education courses between the 2 systems.
