2 Data Management Seminar, 9-12th July 2007, Hamburg 2 Listing Classes In the Schools: Listing Classes School Coordinators complete the Class Listing Form All classes in the tested grade have to be listed Information about… – Class name – Grade – Stream/Study Program (if relevant) – Number of students – Exclusion (on class level, if relevant) … for each class is given – Number of teachers in tested grade … for school is given Listing Classes

3 Data Management Seminar, 9-12th July 2007, Hamburg 3 Tracking Classes At the National Center: Enter school and teacher information from the Class Listing Forms Enter class information from the Class Listing Forms Sample classes „Create“ teachers Print Student and Teacher Listing Forms... and send them to the schools Tracking Classes Tracking Classes

4 Data Management Seminar, 9-12th July 2007, Hamburg 4 Select “Edit...” in the “Schools” menu Edit any existing entries, if necessary Verify the number of classes in the Tested Grade Enter the number of teachers in the tested grade Decide whether you intend to assign booklets to excluded students Edit school coordinators details Enter Data – School Editor “Schools” Menu

8 Data Management Seminar, 9-12th July 2007, Hamburg 8 Select the desired school in the “Tree View” Select “Edit...” in the “Classes” menu Enter Data – Class Editor “Classes” Menu For each class: – Enter the class name – Enter the stream/study program (if relevant) – Enter the number of students – Identify any excluded classes (if relevant) Navigate with the arrow keys Add or delete classes, if necessary Select “Close”

11 Data Management Seminar, 9-12th July 2007, Hamburg 11 Prepare Student and Teacher Listing Forms Select “Forms and Labels” in the “Schools” menu Select all schools, or only those selected in the “School List View” Select Student Listing Form Select Teacher Listing Form Select “To Printer”, or “Save to PDF” to view Select “Output” “Schools” Menu Send the Student Listing Forms and Teacher Listing Forms to all participating schools!

13 Data Management Seminar, 9-12th July 2007, Hamburg 13 Hands-On Training At the National Center: Open the WinW3S database If you did not complete the previous task open LEVEL1.MDB Enter all information from the Class Listing Forms In your folder, under tab 4 Sample classes „Create“ teachers Print the Student Listing Forms Print the Teacher Listing Forms...and send them to the schools Tracking Classes Tracking Classes 20 min
