7. Every day your child will bring home their Take Home folder. Inside will be their 100 Book Challenge log and a book. Their homework for each night, is to spend 15 minutes with a book, which could be you reading to them or them reading to you. Once they have completed this, you will need to initial the box on the log. 15 Minutes=1 step For every 100 steps they receive an award. The school goal for the year is 250 steps!

8. We will provide your child with a B.E.E. (Bring Everything Everyday) folder that will go back and forth to school and home everyday. Please check this folder nightly for papers and/or communication from school. If you are sending a note, lunch money, etc. to school, it should be put in this folder.

9. Birthdays are a very special day for Kindergarteners. We will celebrate each birthday during snack time. If you wish to send in a treat for your child’s birthday, it must be a small, prepackaged snack. (cookies, fruit snack, pretzels)

10. We will have a quick snack every morning around 10:50. Please make sure your child brings a healthy snack each day as one is not provided for them. They may use the water fountain for drinks.
