{ Aim: How can we process camera raw files?

When you make adjustments to a camera raw image, Photoshop preserves the original camera raw file data Photoshop allows you to process multiple camera raw images simultaneously If you have multiple exposures of the same shot you can adjust one of the images and apply the settings to all of the other images Camera Raw Files

In the Adobe Bridge locate the Mission Folder in lesson 9 Press shift and click all three image to select them all at once Click file > Open in Camera Raw Opening Camera Raw Images

The camera raw dialog box displays previews of the images It contains a histogram of the tonal range of the image and image adjustment settings The dialog box also contains the workflow options The Camera Raw Dialog Box

Click on the white balance tab and select Cloudy Click on the different options in the white balance to see the difference in adjustments Since this image was shot on a cloudy day, cloudy will work best Adjusting White Balance and Exposure

Experiment with the sliders to see what happens when you make adjustments Change the sliders as follows: Exposure to +1.20 Blacks to 0 Brightness to 50 Contrast to +29 Saturation to -5 Adjusting White Balance and Exposure

Sharpening the image will bring out more detail Zoom in on the top of the tower (100%) Drag the sharpness slider and see what happens to the image Set the slider to 35 Apply Sharpening

We can apply changes to the other two Camera Raw files Click select all button Click the Synchronize button Click Ok Synchronizing settings across image

Make sure that all three images are selected Click Save In the save options dialog box do the following: Choose the lesson 9 folder in my documents In the File Naming, leave Document Name in the first blank field Choose Format > JPEG Click Save Saving Camera Raw Images
