The Song of the Pilgrim Way Some wandered in wilderness and desert They lost their way home to a place where they could live They were hungry and thirsty and their life force ebbed away Then they cried out to the Lord in their distress He saved them from all their troubles He led them by a straight pathway To a place where they could make their home Let them give thanks to the Lord for he is good For the wonders he does for human race For he satisfies the thirsty soul And the hungry heart he fills with good things.

7. Lost on the inner journey We feel far away from God We don’t know what life is for. We lack a sense of purpose and direction in our lives. There is a sense of heading down the wrong road. A sense of not knowing which road to take. Life seems to present us with a vast range of choices. We find we are being exploited

8. Jesus and the Lost By his teaching he shows us the right way to live By his example he shows us how to live By his death he shows us how to live By his death on the cross he opens up the living way back to God By his resurrection Jesus leads us into the way that leads to eternal life.
