8. Diarrhoea in weaners Cause: Serveral causes often including insufficient immunisation against certain coli bacili. Symptoms of importance:Sudden death. Diarrhoea, weight loss and not thriving. Treatment: Antibiotic treatment. Diet. Electrolytic solution. Combating: Correct weaning procedure. Preventive medication when necessary. Prevention: Good housing hygiene and housing enviroment. Avoid abrupt changes in diet.
