LUDI: play for children with disabilities Play is the most important engine of the child’s development Play is also the most important context to establish friendships, for social inclusion The right to be able to engage in play (Art 31 UN convention of the rights of the child) Children although they have some kind of disability, they remain undoubtedly, first of all, children There is no reason that in this case play can be considered less important than for other children

But… Children with disabilities experience more problems in engaging in play. But they have the same needs as their typically developing peers Professionals are mainly interested in addressing educational and therapeutic objectives and use play as a mean Often the parents are worried, anxious and are not able to play with them the children
