This is also the earliest date the colleges will issue an offer of acceptance and the earliest date an applicant may confirm an offer. 49 Step 3: Apply Go to www.ouac.on.ca. Select OUAC 101 Current Ontario High School Students. Use the information in your Access Code Letterwww.ouac.on.ca Change your temporary PIN to a personal password. Complete all sections of the application. Review your selections before clicking “I Verify and Agree”. Submit with payment, well before the 101 application deadline and any university program-specific deadlines.101 application deadline Record the OUAC Ref. # and keep it in a safe place.

52 Step 4: After Applying Review and make any necessary changes. Mid-February, log in to verify your grades information. Notify your guidance counsellor of any necessary corrections. Visit a university. University open houses and campus visits are great ways to experience first-hand what campus life is like and help you decide which university is the best fit for you. Expect to receive either a conditional offer of admission or a refusal from the universities you applied to by the end of May.

53 Important Dates January 13 th, 2016 Deadline to submit your completed application to the OUAC. May 27 th, 2016 The latest date by which you can expect a response from an Ontario university. This includes: –an offer of admission; –a refusal; or –a deferral, pending the receipt of specific informatio n. June 1 st, 2016 The earliest date you may be required to respond to an Ontario university offer of admission and give a financial commitment (e.g., registration deposit, residence deposit, etc.).

54 101 Fees All fees are non-refundable. Base Application Fee: $150 (CDN dollars) For the initial three university/program choices. Additional Choice Fee: $50/choice (CDN dollars) For each university/program choice beyond the initial three (e.g., if two additional university choices are added, you must pay $100 in addition to the base application fee). Note: You may apply to as many Ontario universities/programs as you wish; however, you are limited to a maximum of three program choices at any one university (including its affiliates). Some universities may further limit the number of programs you can apply to.

55 Methods of Payment Payment for online applications is accepted by: Credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express). Prepaid credit cards and VISA debit cards are not accepted. Online banking (Canadian banks and credit unions only). Normally takes 1-3 business days. All payments must be made in Canadian funds.
