Eye-catcher/ Attention-grabber sentence (1-2) Explanation/ general information sentences (3-4) THESIS statement sentence ( 1 -2) Introduction THESIS STATEMENT: Is a roadmap for the rest of the paper. It tells your audience where you are headed. Is an interpretation of the subject, not the subject itself. back-up your thesis It presents your argument to the reader, and the rest of your body paragraphs should follow and back-up your thesis.
