3 Inter-Agency Transportation Management System (ITMS) replaced GSA’s Automated Rate and Filing and Retrieval System (ARFARS) an IBM compatible personal computer based database application using CD- ROM technology

4 ITMS input the origin, destination, mileage, weight, and various accessorial services needed for a particular shipment displays every carrier that has an approved rate on file for the route information includes for each carrier such things as the carrier name, phone number, offer number, the estimated cost for transportation which include any selected accessorial services calculated by the system, and the percentage offered for any selected accessorial service
