1 LEARNING ENHANCEMENT ADVOCACY PROGRAM (LEAP) EILEEN A,RODA District Supervisor Fule Almeda District

2 RATIONALE LEAP – is designed to achieve the development of 21 st century learners encouraging physical, intellectual, moral, creative and spiritual growth in a supportive and cooperative learning environment. The Learning Enhancement Staff composed of administrators, teachers and stakeholders of Fule Almeda District will work collaboratively in delivering differentiated learning experiences. The individual student is placed at the center of all learning through this innovative approach that meets the diverse needs of students in today’s classrooms.

3 For this purpose, it is likewise stated in the Enhanced Basic Education Act 10533 under section A which states that we shall create a functional basic education system that will develop productive and responsible citizens equipped with the essential competencies, skills and values for both life-long learning and employment.

5 Why is literacy across the curriculum important? Learning in any subject area requires the use of language; therefore, reading and writing are used as tools for learning the subject area. Connecting literacy learning to other content reinforces learning in all areas. Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are interconnected skills that develop collectively. They are also the key to critical thinking instruction. The more fluent students as readers, writers, speakers, and listeners, the clearer, more coherent, and more flexible their thinking will become.

10 E-TOOL FOR LEARNING This program is one of the facets in the 21st century teaching learning process. An exclusive site will be made exclusively for the pupils of Fule-Almeda district only. Learning activities created by LEAP staff will be posted on the said website. Grade IV – VI will be asked to fill up/answer questions in the said activity for review and intervention purposes while grade 1 to grade 3 pupils will be given activity sheets in different learning areas. Results of the said activity will be submitted through email and/or in print. 11 AFFECTIVE LEARNING Affective learning focuses on developing students' belief systems, emotions, and attitudes. The underlying beliefs of affective education are that in order to learn different subjects optimally, students must develop these aspects of their personality. By working to develop these traits, students will have a more solid foundation on which to build their learning.

13 Physical Development The school-age years are a time of steady growth and development. Staying physically active during this developmental phase will strengthen the fundamental skills needed to lead a healthy and active life as an adult. These skills include, agility, balance, coordination, and endurance. Learning and developing these skills will also have a tremendous impact on child’s confidence and self-esteem, as well as providing them with an ongoing sense of accomplishment and independence.
