JI Potential in Russia Enormous potential Promissing projects: biomass/cleaner fuel, energy efficiency in industry, landfill methane capture, coal mine methane capture, N2O reduction from fertilizer production, etc. Selected pilot project: Moscow landfills Iksha and Khmetyevo

Benefits to Russia from Kyoto ratification Russia will benefit economically by ratifying the Kyoto protocol: Ratification will enhance the necessary public and private sector investments in energy efficiency Ratification will attract foreign investments Russia will be a key market player, and will be able to optimise its economic benefits.

Greening AAUs Greening of AAUs an important part of the Danish JI strategy: Early credits / Late credits Proceeds from AAU sales invested in environmental improvements at industry level Proceeds from AAU sales used to finance costs of implementing Kyoto protocol
