OCLC has historically set up Resource Sharing Groups, to help libraries manage the lender selection process, and find like-minded lenders http://www.oclc.org/worldshare-ill/features/groups/groups.en.html Custom holdings enable you to identify your own groups of preferred lenders and save them to use when creating borrowing requests

How it works --- 1.Create custom holdings group 2.Put groups into paths 3.When creating request, select custom holdings path 4.Libraries that have holdings on requested item AND they are part of custom holdings path are identified and displayed in the lender string 5.Benefit – potential lenders are randomly selected from custom groups/path Balances requests among all potential lenders
