Healthy School Report Card Organizing Orienting Organizing Reporting Using Results Scoring Establish a diverse Steering Committee Determine the timeline for HSRC implementation and process by setting due dates Form work groups (Try for 11 – one for each characteristic) Review the HSRC so work groups know the indicators Determine standards – must establish good vs. bad vs. best Each work group prepares a summary report with: -how collected answers, conclusions, recommendations, and priority rankings Steering committee drafts overall summary report to be shared with the community Complete a preliminary assessment for Question 1 (Does it exist?) Collect additional information if status not clear (interviews, surveys, etc) Complete final assessment – answer all 3 questions Develop goals and objectives, set priorities Track your progress using a portfolio – CELEBRATE SUCCESSES! 3. Prepare HSIP: Tips Activities Include all critical activities needed to achieve each objective. Include the following as activities: securing resources as an activity for new “things.” data collection activities to monitor implementation and measure outcomes. publicizing and celebrating success stories. Resources List all resources (e.g., financial, technical, informational, evaluation tools) needed to adequately support completion of the activity Consider community resources in addition to school resources Individuals/ Groups Responsible Include key players who naturally have a role to play in achieving the objective(s) Spread the workload whenever possible.
