Boy-Girl Relationship Not long-lasting –A–As adolescence (time from puberty to adulthood) is just the starting of life –C–Couples leave the school or countries to pursue their future careers which results in neglecting one another –A–An article published in May 2006 in the American Sociological Review, boys are not emotionally shallow or frivolous in their love life. Like girls, their heart shattered easily and make them more afraid during break ups.

The researchers learned that: –Boys are more shy in expressing their feelings. –Girls show decision-making capabilities and hence are more prepared for emotional involvement. –Girls have no difficulty about talking to their close friends about their interactions with boys, thus giving them a wider view and more sensitive than boys.

Parental-teen relationship Teenagers are arrogant and overconfident which irritates the parents –But parents do not know teens at this age are still trying understand themselves. They set boundaries at home and do not let their parents in.

Education Most of the Secondary 1 students spend an average of 135 minutes each day on television while 57 minutes doing homework. Teenagers are easily addicted to computer games like DOTA, some may spend 2-3 hours Eg: Wei Lun neglected his studies in the past

Education Teenagers in relationship, are more likely to neglect their studies as : –They cannot cope due to bad time management –If they break up before exam period, they are most likely unable to concentrate. Teenagers may suffer depression after failing exam when parents pressurize them, and worse cases may result in suicide.

Finance As the economy grows and the technology gets more advanced, products will also get more expensive. Everyone will want to enjoy a higher standard of living and quality of life. Some teenagers may desire to get something that they do not have.

Finance Teenagers that hope to be IN and trendy will want the latest gadgets in town. Some teenagers are influenced by friends to get the latest gadgets and also they can use it as something to boast to their friends When they do not have the ability to buy it, they may resort to stealing.

Bad Influences Bad influences are caused by: –Friends –Computer –Media –Parents

Bad Influences Friends –T–Teenagers usually follow what their friends do and thus they are easily influenced. –T–Teenagers may be easily tempted to try smoking due to peer pressure.

Bad influences Computer –I–Information is given readily on the internet and teenagers may go to inappropriate website. –T–Teenagers meet different people over the internet and they may be a bad influence. –T–Teenagers are addicted to the computers.

Media –A–Advertisements shows incorrect information, e.g. : alcohol, slimming, which make teenagers follow and cause health to deteriorate gradually. –E–Examples of the media are television, newspaper advertisement, songs, magazine, video games

Parents –P–Parents may show bad example to children to follow, e.g. : gambling, –P–Parents may not have time to accompany their children, thus they seek company from friends that maybe a bad influence.

Cyber bullying Two kinds of cyber bullying –Direct bullying, (messages sent to friends directly) –Cyber bullying by proxy (using others to send messages to victim ( with or without others knowledge

Cyber bullying Why cyber bullying mostly occurs in teenagers? Teenagers –Feel bored –Feel angry and want revenge –Send for self-entertainment –Send for defensive action –Want to make known of social standing
